What we offer
Professional dental hygiene plus Air Flow
The goal is to maintain healthier teeth and gums and to prevent cavities and gum disease. Healthy gums are a long-term investment in beautiful teeth, and at the dental clinic we monitor the state of your oral hygiene and help you achieve a healthier mouth. Don't take risks with your dental health. Even if you have no problems with your teeth or gums right now, if you neglect your dental hygiene, problems will appear later.
- We assess the health of the oral cavity and gums.
- We thoroughly clean and polish the teeth, including below the gum line.
- We identify oral conditions such as bad breath and dry mouth and help treat them as needed.
- We advise on oral care products to support specific oral conditions.
- We instruct on proper brushing and flossing techniques and recommend suitable oral hygiene products for each individual.
- We outline a personal oral hygiene programme with recommended visits every 3, 6 or 12 months, recommended future treatment and a referral for specific treatment if necessary.
Fixed dentures – crowns and bridges
The purpose of a crown is to save and protect an existing tooth damaged by trauma or decay. In cases where a tooth has undergone root canal treatment, a crown may be needed after the pulp is removed to strengthen the tooth.
A bridge is similar to a crown, but differs in that it replaces one or more missing teeth. A finished bridge is anchored to the natural teeth on both sides of the gap. As the name suggests, a dental bridge literally bridges the gap left by a missing tooth. The existing adjacent teeth act as anchors for the replacement tooth. These adjacent teeth are “covered” with dental crowns to secure the replacement tooth in the missing spot. This construction represents an effective and cost-efficient approach to replacing a missing tooth.
Crowns and bridges are made of porcelain, or zirconia, or porcelain fused to metal. The porcelain is made to match the natural colour of the teeth and is stain-resistant. The metal gives the crown strength, hardness and durability, which is most useful for molars, as they are used to crush and grind food.
Conservative dentistry
Dental fillings
One of the most common treatments at OCEAN DENT is the treatment of cavities, which are usually addressed with fillings. There are currently various types of fillings: temporary and long-term provisional ones such as glass ionomer cements, composite and amalgam. We prefer and apply white composite fillings, since amalgam fillings are not ideal for a pleasant and radiant smile. Teeth darken over time because of them. That is why, in today's modern era, we favour composite fillings, which perfectly match the natural colour of the teeth. It should also be noted that amalgam waste is defined by the adopted laws as hazardous waste, produced during the dental care of patients.
Endodontics = Root canal treatment
Another extremely frequent treatment performed at our clinic is root canal treatment, which addresses an infection of the dental pulp. When a patient suffers from this condition, they may experience problems such as increased sensitivity to cold or heat, pain when biting, pain that radiates to another area such as the neck, temple and ear and that intensifies in the evening, accompanied by insomnia. During root canal treatment, the dentist removes the infected dental pulp. The treated area is then sterilised and sealed, so that no bacteria can re-enter and cause a further infection. We carry out this entire process with an appropriate endomotor and then fill the canal with a thermafil post heated in an oven.

Veneers – are like a thin shell permanently bonded to the surfaces of the teeth to improve their position, shape and shade, as well as the overall aesthetics of a person's smile. They are made either of composite resin or porcelain. Before we make them, we will need to remove a very small amount of enamel so that the teeth do not appear bulky after the thin porcelain veneers are applied. Veneers are a cosmetic solution for various scenarios, including:
- Older veneers that require replacement.
- Gaps between teeth.
- Broken, crooked or chipped, worn teeth.
- Permanently stained or discoloured teeth.
